GALINI sails around the pirate islands in the Caribbean
Our Hanse 575 GALINI spent her first summer season in Greece on Poros. Our charter base has started operations and we were able to welcome our first guests. Maira (base manager) kept everyone happy and Yiannis (technical manager) took care of the yacht and installed some upgrades. Our Buddies asked what GALINI does in winter… She spends the winter season in the Caribbean. This week Andy and Mauricio made the journey across the Mediterranean from Greece via Sicily, Sardinia, Mallorca, Ibiza, the Spanish south coast, Gibraltar, along the African coast to the Canary Islands. At the weekend, Eric and a motivated crew set off on the Atlantic crossing – Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to Fort-en-France, Martinique. This will also be our base in the Caribbean. From here we start tours to the south to the Grenadines and the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean” and to the north-east to the British Virgin Islands. In mid-March, we will return to Gibraltar via the Azores. And how does it work in the Caribbean?
What are you doing with the yacht in the Caribbean?
We are gathering our first experiences 🙂 Do we have a plan? No, but lots of ideas! And we invite everyone to take part! We have a wonderful, fast, comfortable yacht, a whole winter season and great skippers in Andy, Mauricio, Eric and Christian. GALINI is available from Christmas and can be booked as a whole boat with skipper or just individual cabins. Are you a skipper or agency and need a yacht? GALINI will be back on Poros in Greece from June. After a short stay in the shipyard, she will be available bareboat again in the Saronic Gulf and the Aegean Sea from mid-June.
