DAYA
DAYA is a beautiful, classic racer/cruiser yacht from the Italian shipyard GRAND SOLEIL. She was built in 1986 and has been receiving a loving refit for the past 3 years. She belongs to the yachts that were built in high quality for eternity. The hull is slim and the tail is cut very narrow. The whole concept is focused on performance. It is almost identical in construction to the Swan from that time. The two models are hardly distinguishable.
The cockpit offers relaxed space for 4 people. All lines are placed in the cockpit for perfect handling. When you are there, you can feel the yacht's joy of speed and gliding through the water. The interior is typically for Cantiere del Pardo elaborately desinged and realized. In new boats, unfortunately, the value of the design is almost impossible to find. With DAYA we want to preserve and share the joy that a classic sailing yacht radiates.

On the road to sustainability
At DAYA we test equipment to make sailing environmentally friendly. We want to avoid plastic, not release harmful substances into the sea and make boats durable. What we do on DAYA:
- The fresh water is usually kept clean with an additive containing heavy metals. Instead, we have installed a special UV-C lamp that keeps the tank free of bacteria.
- Highly toxic antifouling is used on the underwater hull to prevent fouling and sedimentation. We become a solution without releasing particles into the water.
- We rely on the sun to generate clean energy. The installed PV panels and inverter supply the yacht with renewable energy for the most part.
- DAYA’s teak deck is worn out, and replacement of the deck covering is pending. Tropical woods are not an alternative for us. The deck will be renewed with a recyclable, attractive covering.
- With all products like bed linen, towels, care products in the bathroom up to cleaning agents we pay a lot of attention to the fact that they are produced fairly and ecologically.

Fab two nights on this lovely cosy sailing yacht. Stephan was a great host, responded quickly all the time and is a well loved person on the island. Poros is one of the most beautiful and quaint Greek Islands I've been to, and the boat is in a great location surrounded by lots of activity, bars and restaurants. 300m from the Ferry drop off it's perfect for a couple of nights if you fancy something different to a hotel or apartment.
Adventurous yet comfortable stay at a great location! Stephan was a wonderful and responsive host, and staying on the boat was a fantastic experience
Stephan's boat Daya Is beautifully designed and well equipped. A perfect way to experience marina life on Poros island! All the recommendations to beaches, restaurants, cafes and bars were great and we hope to stay again soon.
