DAYA
DAYA is a beautiful, classic racer/cruiser yacht from the Italian shipyard GRAND SOLEIL. Built in 1986, she has been undergoing a loving refit for the past three years. She is one of those yachts built to the highest quality, made to last forever. The hull is slim and the stern very narrowly cut. The whole concept is geared towards performance. She is almost identical in build to the Swan of that era - the two models are hard to tell apart.
The cockpit comfortably seats four. All lines are led into the cockpit for perfect handling. Sitting there, you can feel the yacht's joy in speed and gliding through the water. The interior is elaborately designed and crafted, typical of Cantiere del Pardo. Sadly, this quality of construction is rarely found in new boats anymore. With DAYA we want to preserve and share the joy that a classic sailing yacht radiates.

Let's talk about values
On the path to sustainability
On DAYA we test equipment to make sailing more environmentally friendly. We want to avoid plastic, release no harmful substances into the sea and make boats durable. Here is what we do on DAYA:
- Das Frischwasser wird meist mit einem schwermetallhaltigen Zusatz sauber gehalten. Stattdessen haben wir eine spezielle UV-C Lampe verbaut, die den Tank von Bakterien frei hält.
- Beim Unterwasserschiff kommt hoch toxisches Antifouling zum Einsatz, um Bewuchs und Ablagerungen zu verhindern. Wir werden eine Lösung ohne Abgabe von Partikeln ins Wasser.
- To generate clean energy we rely on the sun. The installed PV panels and the inverter supply the yacht largely with renewable energy.
- DAYA’s teak deck is worn and the deck covering is due for replacement. Tropical hardwoods are not an option for us. The deck will be renewed with a recyclable, attractive covering.
- With all products – from bed linen, towels and bathroom toiletries to cleaning agents – we take great care that they are produced fairly and ecologically.

Fab two nights on this lovely cosy sailing yacht. Stephan was a great host, responded quickly all the time and is a well loved person on the island. Poros is one of the most beautiful and quaint Greek Islands I've been to, and the boat is in a great location surrounded by lots of activity, bars and restaurants. 300m from the Ferry drop off it's perfect for a couple of nights if you fancy something different to a hotel or apartment.
Adventurous yet comfortable stay at a great location! Stephan was a wonderful and responsive host, and staying on the boat was a fantastic experience
Stephan’s boat Daya Is beautifully designed and well equipped. A perfect way to experience marina life on Poros island! All the recommendations to beaches, restaurants, cafes and bars were great and we hope to stay again soon.
